aosp-devs.org March newsletter
Welcome to the fifteenth aosp-devs newsletter, keeping you up to date with things happening in the AOSP developer community.
Just two days too late to avoid the April Fools’ Day.
New calendar page on aosp-devs.org
There is a new calendar page on aosp-devs.org. It contains the well-known list of events which is attached to every newsletter at the bottom. It’s now directly accessable from the website menu and always kept up to date.
If you know an event that is not listed, feel free to open a PR.
New blog posts by Google
Google will bring some new code to AOSP later this year: Beyond Infotainment: Extending Android Automotive OS for Software-defined Vehicles
There are more details about developer verification and the sideloading flow available: Android developer verification: Balancing openness and choice with safety
Additional notes on Discord and blog posts
Device attestation is implemented and provided by the Google Mobile Services. There seems to be interest in providing something similar without Google’s involvement: Paying without Google: New consortium wants to remove custom ROM hurdles and Unified Attestation
Some deep dive cuttlefish and goldfish debugging: Discussion on Discord
